Dear Mr. and Mrs. Wong, brother and sisters, extended family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.

I pray that God’s grace and love surround you in abundance as you mourn your loss of Jacklyn. I pray that your faith and love of our Lord Jesus is strengthened as you know that your precious child is with God forever in her eternal home.

God’s plan for each person’s life and timing is perfect. So I will continue to pray that Jacklyn’s sweet testimony and love of Jesus is shared with others, and that through her short life and testimony of it, many will come to faith in Christ Jesus. I will pray that many children and families will see the sweet essence that Jacklyn had as she learned to love Jesus with all her heart and desired to know how to share Him with others at such a young age.

“Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:20)

A few years ago, a dear Christian shared this verse upon the death of her child. Yes, your treasure is Jacklyn. You have “stored” her in Heaven where together you will be someday. And together FOREVER, through your faith in Christ Jesus … “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved (Acts 16:31).”

Now with your “treasure” in Heaven, I encourage you to continue to reach out to other children and families with the Gospel. Continue to share Jacklyn’s testimony and her love of Jesus as you touch lives for eternity.
Together, may we continue to “store up treasures” in Heaven, keeping our lives focused on Christ Jesus, and our commitment to the Gospel.
